HYBRID is a project that was born in 2016 with the aim of giving visibility to new creative spaces and new management models for the dissemination and exhibition of contemporary art.
HYBRID is conceived from the beginning as an event to be held biannually in Madrid in two different formats: first as HYBRID Festival, a multi-venue festival with exhibitions and activities in independent and/or alternative art spaces in the city, and then as HYBRID Art Fair, an international contemporary art fair in an atypical setting, the rooms of a hotel.
Both the festival and the fair are a meeting point for the different agents in the sector and the general public, a place to debate and exchange ideas and a space to reflect on new trends in cultural creation and management. HYBRID is a platform based in Spain with an international vocation to create links and lay the foundations for future collaborative artistic projects.
