AFTERpoema presents at Hybrid Art Fair 2026 «Me atravesaba un río» inviting us to explore a territory where the personal and the aesthetic become one, where the landscape is an archive and memory is written not only in footprints, roots and traces against the current. This project is conceived as a set of images to imagine futures in which artistic creation is also a gesture of care towards others and of defence of the common goods that still sustain us.
The selected pieces prompt reflection on the link between artistic practices and the preservation of ecosystems, environments, culture and customs, both as an affective memory and as a derivation of languages — through installation, painting, sculpture and expanded practices — the artists evoke the fragility of ecosystems and their own identities, the resilience of ancestral knowledge, and the mythological and folkloric power held by the landscapes from which each one comes. Each work functions as a tributary that flows into a larger river, where aesthetics become a tool of resistance and care in the face of the erosion of time and the domination exercised over nature.
