Exhibition

Collaborative Projects (Aka Colab) presents for Hybrid Art Fair 2026, «Blando y duro» curated by Alan W. Moore, consisting of Elisabeth Lorenzi's main installations, made with self-electrifying wool and integrating elements of light and sound, which she calls feltrónica. The room will be shared with metal constructions by Carlos Corpa, some standing on marble, at rest, and some in motion. Bobby presents traditional oil paintings, some old (1980) and some new. Antoine distributes his small collages around the walls. And Blanca ‘makes the bed’ with a display of artist's books that will change every day.

The guest arrives at the hotel room and encounters a series of metal figures standing on marble. Strange plants wrapped in fabric flicker softly. Einstein's stern face seems to observe the scene. Small dots of colour shine here and there. While arranging their toiletries in the bathroom, the guest is surprised to see a pile of wool that flickers and seems to have some kind of musical rhythm. The television channel cannot be changed; it only broadcasts what the artists choose. Luckily, the bed is covered with interesting books, so you should turn off your mobile phone anyway.

About the exhibitor

Colab (Collaborative Projects, Inc.) was a non-profit, assembly-based art group active in New York City from 1978 to 1989. It included several now-famous artists in its growing membership of approximately 40. The remaining active members have participated in archival work for the group. Examples include the recent exhibition ‘ABC No Rio 45 Years’ (April 2025 at the Emily Harvey Foundation, New York), produced with Allied Productions, and the transfer of the MWF Video Club collection by the XFR Collective and its deposit in archive.org and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee library.
