Exhibition

Dorian Loci presents its project archive at Hybrid Art Fair 2026, showcasing works by artists such as Virginia De Diego, Paula Yubero + Ricardo Sousa, Antonio M. Xoubanova and an unpublished piece by Rocío M. Madrid.

The central project is by Virginia De Diego, who will sculpt a monumental 2.5-tonne mountain of confetti adapted to the space. This work has a strong participatory component: attendees will be able to create their own piece through an archaeological performance, culminating in a 're-sculpting' event. Throughout the fair, instant photos will be taken of the public's participation and will be available for sale as unique, signed pieces.

Other works include Paula Yubero and Ricardo Sousa's photographic series on the nature of confetti, and Antonio M. Xoubanova's editorial edition, which experiments with zoom to create a customisable landscape through a shower of petals. The gallery also presents the unpublished work of Rocío M. Madrid, a limited edition of confetti that challenges the intimate spaces of the room.

About the exhibitor

Founded in 2025 by artist, curator and researcher Virginia de Diego, it combines exhibitions, artefacts, performances and an online gallery. The name of the project is itself a gesture of synthesis and reinvention: an anagram of the Italian word 'coriandoli' (confetti). It also combines two references: 'Dorian' – evoking the elusive figure of Dorian Gray; and 'loci', 'places' in Latin.

DORIAN LOCI is a repeatedly ephemeral project, transforming itself through exhibitions and artists who occupy various cities and spaces: from an independent gallery to a stand at a fair or an abandoned space. The project has already stopped in Portugal and Spain, before continuing on to Belgium and France.
