The Proarte Foundation is participating in Hybrid Art Fair 2026, reaffirming its commitment to the international promotion of emerging Ecuadorian art. Its presence seeks to raise the profile of contemporary production and encourage collecting.

This edition brings together five young artists who embody the creative vitality of the country: Francesca Palma, Sergio Mendoza, C.MAL, David Salazar, and Josué Rodríguez. Their proposals, diverse in language, converge on universal concerns: memory and archives, the fragility of bodies, expanded pictorial exploration, and the tension between the intimate and the social.

Francesca Palma works with the dreamlike, expanding painting into structures that propose immersive journeys. Sergio Mendoza explores the depths of humanity, creating material territories that tension chaos and vulnerability. C.MAL returns to intimate family photographs to develop a neo-figurative project that reconfigures private memory. David Salazar interrogates the landscape through the friction between the domestic and the wild, inviting us to reconfigure the relationship between humans and nature. Josué Rodríguez presents a series that revisits disused graphic archives to problematise sporting epic, questioning glory in the face of the precariousness of the body.

Taken together, the exhibition forms a choral narrative that highlights the power of emerging Ecuadorian art. It is art that projects itself into global contexts, engaging with universal tensions from unique and daring perspectives. Proarte has established itself as a platform for this generation that is pushing the boundaries of creation.

About the exhibitor

Fundación Proarte was created in 2022 with the mission of promoting the development, training, and national and international projection of Ecuadorian artists. It actively seeks opportunities for emerging and established artists and creates meaningful experiences that enrich the national cultural fabric.

Proarte has managed three exhibition spaces: the Proarte gallery at the Guayaquil Country Club, the Piece of Cake Gallery, and the Banco Territorial building in Guayaquil's Historical Park, where it has produced more than 40 art exhibitions. It will soon open "La Reserva," the largest private art sales venue in the country.

Proarte's vision is to be the leading foundation in Ecuador's cultural and artistic sphere, recognised for its impact on the training of artists and audiences. Through its participation in international fairs, Fundación Proarte reaffirms its commitment to Ecuadorian artists in their international projection.
