Mundart's proposal «Oxys» takes its name from the ancient Greek term for 'acid', alluding to the chemical reaction of oxygen. This concept is transferred to the world of poetry to explore the degradation and oxidation of the landscape as a metaphor for time.
The exhibition addresses the wear and tear caused by natural phenomena (wind, sea) and the footprint of human transit, making a clear reference to the impact of climate change. The project uses corrosion as a starting point for deep reflection.
Faced with the saturation of images in contemporary art, curator Sergio Estévez seeks to generate new approaches. The proposal focuses on the use of historical techniques to open new avenues of dialogue and understanding of art, positioning itself consistently with today's society and its historical moment.
