HYBRID – PROYECTOR 2026 curated by Mario Gutiérrez Cru, explores the intersection between architecture, technology and artistic perception. Through three areas—exterior, courtyard and interior—the Petit Palace Santa Bárbara Hotel is transformed into a laboratory of sensory, visual and participatory experiences.
The facade is activated as a living urban canvas with Aquário de Angella Conte, an intervention that turns the building into a perceptual organism that dialogues with the city.
PROYECTOR presents during the fair in the courtyard the Best OFF of the 18th edition with a selection of experimental single-channel pieces with artists: Sergio Cabrera, Yoshua Okón, Cristina Reid Martínez, Michael Fleming, Paul Destieu, Lide Billelabeitia and Hou Lam Tsui, complemented by performances and audiovisual interventions that range from analog to digital, sound to body.
Inside, OBLIQUO offers a continuous vertical journey where the best of international video art invites visitors to move between contemplation and interaction. The fair culminates with a participatory installation that combines body, data and technology, prompting critical reflection on identity, transformation and the grey areas of digital transhumanism in the courtyard.
HYBRID thus establishes itself as a space for encounter, experimentation and expanded perception, where each work activates a direct relationship between the viewer, the space and the artistic experience.
